Meet Ashley
Hi, I’m Ashley Belisle!
I was raised in the northeast metro and graduated from Mahtomedi High School. After spending time in Minneapolis and St. Paul, my husband Michael and I made Birchwood home in 2024. We love our new hometown!
Growing up in Washington County, I got my first taste of local government as a participant in the American Legion Auxiliary Minnesota Girls State program. I went on to earn an English degree at St. Olaf College and a master’s in education administration at Northwestern University, and have worked in higher education and corporate settings for the past decade.
I finally dipped my toes back into government work earlier this year by becoming a member of the city’s Connections Committee, where I have enjoyed meeting my neighbors and learning more about the challenges in Birchwood. I’m ready to serve my city in this new capacity with an open mind, an eagerness to learn, and a commitment to doing what’s best for our future.
Outside of Birchwood, I direct a marketing and communications team at a Minneapolis-based consulting firm. In this role, I manage a $1M+ budget, lead a diverse group of professionals, and find creative solutions to my colleagues’ problems every day. I also regularly volunteer with Second Harvest Heartland, the St. Andrew’s Community Resource Center, and my alma mater, St. Olaf. I enjoy a bike ride around White Bear Lake, a brewery patio, a good board game, and a good book – and I always love to hear about the best TV show you’ve been streaming lately.
